Thanks for your interest in helping provide books to babies and toddlers!
Philly Bookshelf provides donated baby and children’s books to organizations and service providers that work with low income, new parents to ensure children have age appropriate books in their homes.
Studies show that children who are read to at least three (3) times per week are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% in reading compared to children who are read to less. However, 61% of low income families have no age appropriate books for children in their home. Approximately 38% of children live in poverty in Philadelphia. At Philly Bookshelf we believe every child deserves books.
Help us invest in the future by working with us to provide books to new parents through our Baby & Toddler program.

Please note that we aim to work with as many Community Partners in the Philadelphia region as possible. We strive to meet the needs of each organization that requests books, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to immediately assist you as we rely on book donations from the general public to fulfill requests.
